Matthew McMullen Smith creates striking, often surreal but always breathtaking imagery. Seeking out the unique in the ordinary, Matthew is thoroughly absorbed in possibility and constantly striving to capture the world the way he sees it. His meticulous eye for beauty, thoughtfulness of his subjects and innovative approach result in indelible imagery. Influenced at an early age by the Chiaroscuro of the old master painters Matthew seeks to bring that use of light and shadow to his photography.
